Recharging network
Valladolid has one of the most extensive municipal charging networks for electric vehicles in the country. With the addition of three new fast charging stations in mid-2022, the city's municipal public network has been completed with 25 charging stations and 47 parking spaces reserved exclusively for this purpose – four of them for 50KW fast charging. , and four of them of 22KW that also serve the taxi sector.
Added to this network are two photovoltaic installations also intended for charging and two charging points for 22KW municipal vehicles. This infrastructure includes integrated management of use, 100% renewable energy with “Guarantees of Origin (Gos)”, interoperability of the system with multiple providers including digital access to municipal services and electronic access preferably through an application for mobile devices (App ). This network is a necessary support for new mobility services such as car-sharing or multi-service car services that already operate in the city. User options and alternatives to the use of private vehicles are thus multiplied in favor of Mobility as a Service (MaaS).
Urban merchandise distribution project in Valladolid.
The current commercial sales models have also modified the delivery management systems in cities. The Valladolid City Council has designed a mobile application called DUMinVal (Urban Distribution of Goods in Valladolid), in order to optimize the management for the use of parking spaces restricted to the loading and unloading of goods on public roads. DUMinVAL is an intelligent parking application, the result of several studies. Both the studies and DUMinVal have served as a reference for other cities of the European cross-border cooperation project CENCYL+ since they use flexible tools that can be replicated in other mobility analysis environments.
In turn, DUMinVAL is considered as a "last mile" transport management system, since it provides information in real time and will allow better meeting the needs "from within" in the urban center and also "outwards" in connection with the future Platform Valladolid Intermodal Logistics (PLIVA) next to the New Railway Complex.
