Financial Support for Talent Returning to Valladolid (2025-2026)
Volvemos a Valladolid is a grant programme promoted by Valladolid City Council through IdeVa to support professionals who have developed their careers outside Castilla y León and wish to return to live and work in Valladolid.
The programme offers direct financial support to help cover relocation and settlement costs while encouraging skilled professionals to bring their talent back to the city.
What does the grant include?
- Up to €10,000 per applicant
- At least five grants available
- 100% of the grant paid in a single payment
- Compatible with other grants, provided they do not cover the same expenses
The initiative forms part of Valladolid Now, the city's investment attraction and economic development strategy.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be over 18 and hold Spanish nationality
- Have been born in Valladolid or lived there for at least 12 months
- Have lived and worked outside Castilla y León for a minimum of 12 consecutive months
- Have returned to Valladolid during 2025 or plan to return before 1 November 2026
- Commit to living in Valladolid for at least two years
Grant amount
The financial support depends on eligible expenses and personal circumstances:
- Up to €8,000 or 80% of justified expenses
- Additional €1,000 for applicants under 35
- Additional €500 per dependent, up to a maximum grant of €10,000
Eligible expenses
The grant may cover:
- Moving and transport costs
- Travel related to the relocation
- Initial settlement expenses
- Spanish language improvement courses
Cash payments, investments, taxes and transfer fees are generally not eligible.
How are applications assessed?
If demand exceeds the available budget, applications will be ranked according to:
- Being under 35 years old
- Working in high-demand professional sectors
- Number of dependants
Application deadlines
- 31 January 2026: for people who returned during 2025
- 20 November 2026: for people returning during 2026
How to apply
Applications must be submitted electronically through Valladolid City Council's online services.
Applicants must provide:
- ID document (DNI/NIE)
- Proof of residence
- Evidence of employment outside Castilla y León
- Invoices and proof of payment for eligible expenses
- Bank account certificate
Commitment to remain in Valladolid
Successful applicants must maintain their residence in Valladolid for 24 months after returning and provide proof of residence once this period has ended.
