"Smart and Climate-Neutral City by 2030" Awards
These awards promote talent, innovation, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship. They are organised by IdeVa, the Innovation and Economic Development Agency of Valladolid City Council, in collaboration with the University of Valladolid, through its Foundation, and are endowed with a total prize fund of €12,000.
To submit an application, candidates must access the Valladolid City Council's Electronic Headquarters and submit their entry using the General Application Form.
Areas and Topics
Projects should address one or more of the following areas:
- Measures to create a more sustainable and people-friendly city.
- Preventing and reducing the impacts of climate change.
- Improving access to employment and training.
- Promoting sustainable resource management and the circular economy.
- Enhancing connectivity and sustainable mobility.
- Driving and fostering digital innovation.
- Expanding citizen participation tools and mechanisms.
- Digitalising access to municipal services for residents and visitors.
- Modernising and digitalising local retail businesses and municipal markets.
- Using Artificial Intelligence to improve public services.
Who Can Apply?
The call is open to University of Valladolid students who successfully defended their Bachelor's Thesis (TFG) or Master's Thesis (TFM) during the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 academic years.
Awards
A total of six prizes and two honourable mentions (runner-up awards) will be granted:
Bachelor's Thesis (TFG) Category
- First Prize: €3,000
- Second Prize: €1,500
- Third Prize: €900
Master's Thesis (TFM) Category
- First Prize: €3,000
- Second Prize: €1,500
- Third Prize: €900
Honourable Mentions
- Two Honourable Mentions: €300 each
