Tech Lab 1094
The Castilla y León Digital Content Technology Laboratory (Tech Lab 1094) is a strategic center for the digital content industry located in Valladolid. Its main objective is to foster entrepreneurship and strengthen an innovative ecosystem focused on video games, virtual reality, and audiovisual production, positioning itself as a hub for attracting digital content projects.
This initiative is part of Valladolid’s Innovation and Smart City Plan and represents a joint commitment by the Valladolid City Council and the Regional Government of Castilla y León (Junta de Castilla y León) to promote the video game industry and digital arts in both the city and the wider region.
One of the Technology Laboratory’s key initiatives has been the first edition of the Pucela Game Awards, featuring €25,000 in prize funding. Finalists and winners will also gain free access to the Laboratory.
Digital arts and video games
The focus is on the creation of digital arts and video games and on promoting programming at an early age, offering training in competitive excellence, retaining and attracting talent to the city of Valladolid and enabling the training of citizens in digital skills.
